A few weeks ago, the headline of an ad in a small-town newspaper
caught my attention. It read: “As a
non publisher, if that’s you, you aren’t yet
connected, and the world isn’t the same without
you.”
Within days (as if
by design or fate rearranging things that way) I
received an email from a young publisher.
“Once upon a time” she wrote” I was
that person living paycheck to paycheck… until
I decided to write a book.”
And, that, according to her, was when her life
story changed forever.
Because, according to this young writer, that
book had brought in an enormous 6-figure deal
overnight. LITERALLY!
“I
can't tell you how it felt going from struggling
to breathing easy. That's what writing a
book can do for you” she concluded.
Why I’ve made her story part of my book's opening line is no
accident.
It isn’t, and hopefully, going forward, it’ll bring you as much
excitement as it has brought me.
Writing and Publishing
But the publishing
industry has its challenges.
It is a journey in
fact. One in which you’d be faced with the
challenge of actually writing that book, then
getting it out into the world.
In some ways it’s like staring up at a massive
mountain.
That said, it can be a lot of fun, build you
credibility, and earn you enormous respect with
an audience.

FOR THE NEW WRITER:
There’s never been an easier time to write and
publish a book. Few accomplishments are as
rewarding as writing and seeing a book published
(Digitally or in print) in fact.
Whether you plan to
write a short story, fiction or “How-To” guide,
you’d find something there that meets your
needs, even surpass them.
The climb might
seem daunting for now, and obviously, you’d have
to put in the work upfront writing that book,
getting it published, and marketing it needs to
be done in order to attract readers.
That said, with the
right guidance and coordinated steps, hopefully
you’d make this a publishing business like none
other, and I’m in a million ways happy for you.
In fact, you'd look
back and marvel at how well you did! Not just in
monetary terms but for the thrill that comes
with being a published author.
Finally:
Id you do decide to become a writer, your life
will take on a whole new meaning. Soon
you’d be able enjoy the degree of independence
and freedom that you truly want, aspire to, and
deserve.
I'll feel
privileged to be part of your world.
